Amavie Sport Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains what Amavie Sport does with data. The short version: as a guest your training stays on your device; once you sign in the same records are synced through our servers so your devices agree; the only account is your Amavie account; and self-reported health information never leaves your device at all.
The short version
Workouts, routines, reminders and settings are stored on your device. As a guest they stay there and go nowhere else. When you sign in, they are also synced through our servers, so the same training history is waiting on every device you use.
Signing in is optional and uses your existing Amavie account. What passes between Amavie and Amavie Sport is who you are — an account identifier and a basic profile — never what you trained: your training data is synced only within Amavie Sport.
Self-reported health information — the condition flags you can set, such as pregnancy, an injury, or a joint you are careful with — never leaves your device, in any form, to anyone.
Who is responsible
The controller is ANIMA AI 007 SERVICES - FZCO, IFZA, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Amavie Sport is the name of the service; ANIMA AI 007 SERVICES - FZCO is the company behind it, and behind Amavie.
For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, write to [email protected].
What stays on your device
Workouts and sets, routines, break schedules, reminder history, module switches, goals and preferences are written to storage on your device — a local database in the mobile app, IndexedDB in the browser. As a guest that is the only copy: nothing is uploaded and we cannot see it. When you sign in, the same records are also synced to our servers so that your devices agree; the app keeps working offline and sends the changes when it next can.
Self-reported health information never leaves your device. The condition flags you may set — for example pregnancy, an injury, or a joint you want to avoid loading — are stored locally and used locally, to choose or hide exercises. They are not sent to our servers, not synced between your devices, not shared with friends, and not included in anything the app sends anywhere. This is a design decision, not a setting: there is no switch that turns it on.
You can export all of it as one JSON file, and erase all of it, from Profile then Your data. The export is complete, and it names the two things it deliberately leaves out: the operating system notification queue, which is meaningless on another device, and the exercise library, which is public content.
Deleting the app deletes this data with it. If you are changing phones, export first — while you are a guest there is no server copy to restore from.
Your Amavie account, shared with Amavie
Amavie Sport does not run accounts of its own. Signing in uses your Amavie account, created and managed by Amavie for the whole product family; the same account works in Amavie and in Amavie Sport. The same email address always leads to the same single account — a separate Amavie Sport account is never created.
sport.amavie.ai belongs to the amavie.ai domain, so a valid Amavie session on your device is visible to the app. When Amavie Sport opens it asks the Amavie identity service whether such a session exists. If it does, you are signed in automatically and we read your account identifier, your handle or display name and your avatar in order to show them in the app. If it does not, nothing is returned and you stay a guest.
What is exchanged between Amavie and Amavie Sport is your identity: the account identifier, the basic profile shown in the app (handle or display name and avatar) and the email address the account is registered with. Your training data is not part of that exchange — workouts, sets, weights, routines and reminders are synced only within Amavie Sport, and condition flags are never sent anywhere at all.
Signing out inside Amavie Sport clears the session on this device only. If you create the account from inside Amavie Sport, the password you choose is passed straight to the Amavie identity service and is never stored by Amavie Sport. The Amavie account itself — its email address, changing or resetting its password, its deletion — is handled in Amavie, under the Amavie Privacy Policy.
If you never sign in, none of this happens: the session check returns nothing, no profile is requested, and the app holds no account data about you at all.
What the app sends over the network
As a guest the app talks to us in four ways: a session check to the Amavie identity service (auth.amavie.ai); the download of the public exercise library, which is the same content for everyone and carries no personal data; an anonymous error report if something in the app breaks, containing the error message, the technical stack trace and your browser identification, and nothing that identifies you; and the feedback form, if you choose to use it, with what you write and the email address you give us for an answer. Once you are signed in, two more: a lookup of your name and avatar (api.amavie.ai), and the sync of your training records with our own servers (api.amavie.ai): it sends what changed on this device and fetches what changed on your others.
Like any web service, our servers write standard technical logs for those requests — IP address, user agent, time, path. They are used to keep the service running and to stop abuse, and they are kept for a limited period.
There are no advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics, no trackers and no data sale in Amavie Sport. Fonts and images are served from our own infrastructure, so opening the app does not announce you to anyone else.
If you photograph a meal, that photo is sent to our servers and passed on to Google (Vertex AI, Gemini) to recognise the food and estimate its nutrition. Google processes it for us as a processor, under contracts that limit its use to providing that service; we do not keep the photo after the answer comes back. Messages you send to the AI coaches are Amavie conversations: they travel to Amavie and are processed by its AI providers to generate the coach's replies, as described in the AI disclosure. Beyond meal photos and coach chat, nothing else you do in the app is sent to an AI provider. If you would rather not send a photo anywhere, type the meal in by hand — the result is the same entry.
Reminders and notifications
Reminders are calculated and scheduled on your device by the operating system. We do not send them from a server, and we do not know whether or when one arrived: delivery statistics stay on the device with the rest of your data.
Permission is asked only when you switch reminders on, never at start-up, and you can withdraw it at any time in the operating system settings. Refusing it is a normal state — the app keeps working, without nudges.
Your rights
For the data on your device you do not need us: export it or erase it at any time from Profile then Your data, inside the app, without asking anyone.
For your Amavie account — access, correction, export, objection and, where applicable, a complaint to a supervisory authority — use the tools and contacts in the Amavie Privacy Policy, because the account is held there. Deleting the account can be done from inside this app: Profile, then Amavie account, then Delete Amavie account. It removes the account for every Amavie app, and it is reversible for 30 days.
If you are not sure which of the two applies to your request, write to [email protected] and we will route it.
Children
Amavie Sport is not directed at children under 13. An Amavie account requires you to be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age of digital consent in your country (see the Amavie Age Policy); if you do not meet that age, do not use the app. Amavie Sport contains no adult content — the adults-only part of the Amavie family (Amavie AI Characters) is a separate service with its own 18+ confirmation; its content is not available inside Amavie Sport. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it, and material changes are announced in the app.
Sync is on for signed-in accounts and this page describes exactly what it uploads. Self-reported health information stays out of it, as it always has.
