Dumbbell Lateral Raise
A small, controlled movement that loads the side of the shoulder without much load on the rest of the body.
How to do it
- Stand tall, light dumbbells by your sides, elbows very slightly bent.
- Lift the arms out to the sides until they are about level with the shoulders — no higher.
- Lower slowly — the way down is the part that counts.
- Go lighter than you think; if the body swings, the weight is too heavy.
